The Apple of China, Xiaomi has grown to become one of the largest Chinese smartphone makers thanks to its persuasive and intelligent marketing & pricing schemes in India, China, and other markets. As of 2019, Xiaomi and Google are working together by introducing two smartphones signed up under Project Treble that allowed major Android updates to be sent via OTA including both beta and MTU updates faster than other smartphones.

Google introduced the next, 10th generation Android 10 at the Google I/O Conference 2019 earlier this year. Google has resorted to name its upcoming Android OSes with a numbering system i.e. Android Q is now known as Android 10 while its successors will follow the same numbering system as well. Since then, Google has pushed out a tonne of beta updates and finally, on September 3rd, it released an official stable update and was pushed out to Google Pixel devices and Essential Phones the same day.

Xiaomi makes some changes in the stock Android to club in with its own MIUI version before introducing it to all smartphones starting with Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi Mix 3 5G as the first two candidates followed by others over a course of time that could extend a year depending upon the priority and eligibility of the smartphones while a lot of devices in the various Redmi and Mi series will be left out as they have run out of being supported with major updates.

Android 10 introduces some of the new features along with improvements over the last Android Pie 9.0 version such as improved navigation gestures, system-wide dark mode, native 5G support, native support to foldable displays. It will also have revamped the Digital Wellbeing feature that was announced back in Android Pie. It will also have Focus Mode that eliminates distractions and improves focus and more.
